UPDATE: Letter from Yussi Weisz of Snaps Following Incident

Snaps today provided TLS with the following letter in response to the recent incident.

(Yesterday, Snaps issued a statement in response to the incident the night prior.)

Today, Yussi Weisz penned the following letter:

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for the hundreds of messages of support during a challenging time for our business.

Your encouragement and love are invaluable to us and help us stay positive and focused on our goal.

As you may know, our business has been severely affected this past year by a group of troubled teens that need more love and affection then a restaurant operator can give. This year has been a devastating blow to us, both emotionally and financially. However, thanks to the support of our friends, loyal customers, askonim and the Lakewood Police Department we were able to pick ourselves up and move forward, even considering the events of this week.

We are now focusing solely on positivity and rebuilding our business. We refuse to let the actions of a few misguided individuals dictate our future. We are determined to come back stronger than ever and provide our customers with the best kosher food and service possible.

Once again, thank you for your support. It meant the world to us during a difficult time, and we will never forget it. We look forward to welcoming you back to our business and showing you the positive changes, we have made.

Sincerely,

Yussi Weisz and the entire staff at Snaps Kosher

The restaurant today will resume regular business hours 4pm-10pm.

  1. I don’t know any of the context of any of this, but given the positivity and wholesomeness of these responses makes me want to go eat there one day.
Hang tight Yussi we need more people like you.

  2. Who made the first move on Nov. 8, 2018?
The store has needed armed security ever since. If you don’t rectify the source, you’ll continually deal with the consequences.

  3. Yossi we love u! U are a source of help for many! Many people aren’t aware of the chesed that yossi has been doing. A true gem.

  4. Unfortunately the few troubled teens are giving a bad wrap for ALL teens.
The suspect is allegedly has a history and obviously been given a light punishment if any for his outlandish and repeated activity. It’s time the law and the powers that be make an example of the repeated offender(s) and send a message that any criminal activity will not be covered up or tolerated.

Many of the teens in town are fuming that the same offenders are getting away with unspeakable crimes.

No to guns even “bb” guns LOL
    No to attacking others
    especially of the other gender.
    Stop loitering.

    It’s time.

  5. There has been misconduct and wreckless behavior by many teens for years in Westgate. I reaĺy feel bad for these kid. Purim is coming and I dread to see more recurrances of years past. Ultimately, one must blame the parents, sad to say.
