UPDATE: In Response to Frightening Bus Incident, Jackson School District Transportation Department adds Emergency Phone Number

Earlier this week, TLS exclusively reported a frightening incident which took place in Jackson.

As a result, the Jackson School District Transportation has announced it has added an emergency phone number for parents to get in touch with a District official.

The regular Transportation Department number is 732-833-4614. The emergency cell phone number is 609-351-8099.

The District says the cell phone will remain on until the last bus has returned to the Transportation parking lot.

Thank you Jackson for this neccesasry step. I always found it disturbing that we couldnt find out where our children were. Thank you Mr. Herman and Mordy for communicating alll of our basic concerns. Hopefully other safe guards will be set up shortly.

Can someone explain why an emergency number will be shut off when the last bus parks??
Isn’t it an emergency number?
What if a child Gd forbid gets left on that last bus?
