The driver who caused last night’s head-on collision in Lakewood, was unlicensed, police told TLS.
At approximately 11:40 PM, Marx Martinez-Munoz, 26, of Howell, was driving north on New Hampshire Avenue when he crossed over the double yellow median and struck another vehicle (vehicle 2).
The driver of V2 said she was traveling south on New Hampshire Ave. and was approaching the bend when she noticed headlights in her lane of travel, and tried to swerve right, but V1 struck her.
The driver of V2 was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center for precaution, while Mr. Martinez was transported to Jersey Shore for his injuries. Police say he suffered internal bleeding and is required surgery to repair his abdomen.
“As of now, Mr. Martinez will be issued a summons for Unlicensed Driver, and Failure to maintain Lane,” police said. “More summons or charges pending further investigation.”
UNLICENSED!!!!
HMMM…
WHY,WHY,WHY!!!!
GET THEM OUT OF OUR TOWN, COUNTY, STATE, COUNTRY!!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY
If the person had license would the accident be acceptable? A license does mean you are a safe driver.
YOU OBVIOUSLY MISSED THE BOAT!!!
In what way??
I’d love to know if he was legal to be in the UNITED STATES…
OR IS HE JUST ANOTHER ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN FROM JOE BIDEN‽‽‽
If you don’t have a license, you don’t get a ticket! This is for real – what I’ve heard.
But quite frankly, better to be licensed, means learnt/got experience – better for everyone!!
I believe the driver of vehicle 2 should be charged with a hate crime and discrimination for not allowing Mr Martinez to drive in her lane. That is definitely what would happen in NYC and Chicago.
Lakewood has been busy there was two accidents on route 70 and also on new hampshire ave thursday night about maybe 9 pm I haven’t read anything about them . had route 70 closed from Towbin avenue to new hampshire but I havent read anthing one on new hamshire looked like a small pickup truck really bad condition cant imagine how that person lived
The cars nowadays are like toys. They flip over easily and also because their weight is so light, they have no traction. Driving today is like a drone. You are almost off the ground and ready for take off.
Ridiculous. You think NYC and Chicago are cities that rise above the rest?
