UPDATE: After Lakewood BOE threatens Lawsuit, Durham agrees to cover Routes

boe aug 2015After being threatened with a lawsuit for breaking their contract mid year, Durham Bus Service has agreed to cover the routes for the remainder of the year, a Board official told TLS.

This afternoon, in response to Durham’s announcement that they’re leaving Lakewood, Board President Barry Iann and State Monitor David Shafter authorized litigation against the bus company for breaking the contract, the official said.

The motion, which was to be filed tomorrow, demanded that the bus company complete their contract until the end of the year.
