U.S. Senator Cory Booker’s Statement on Jerusalem Synagogue Shooting

bookerU.S. Sens. Cory Booker, D-N.J.,issued the following statement after two armed Palestinians stormed into a synagogue during early morning prayers this morning killing four people– three with dual U.S.-Israeli citizenship and one with dual British-Israeli citizenship:

“I am saddened and angered by the senseless and gruesome acts of terror that took place early this morning in Jerusalem. A day meant to start in worship and prayer turned into a nightmare for innocent worshipers. I denounce these attacks and call upon the Palestinian leadership to press for restraint and begin the necessary measures to ensure there is no more incitement of violence. My prayers and condolences are with the families who lost their loved ones today in this abhorrent tragedy.”
