U.S. Sen. Cory Booker: I applaud the President for Taking Action to Reduce Gun Violence

bookerU.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) issued the following statement today after President Obama announced new executive actions to reduce gun violence.

“I applaud the president for taking action to reduce gun violence by closing a glaring legal loophole that allows many firearm sales to occur without a background check. Legislation is needed to reinforce these measures, and I will continue to search for ways forward to find bipartisan solutions to the problem of gun violence. Now is not the time for partisan attacks or apathy. Each day Congress delays acting on common sense measures to reduce gun violence, innocent children and communities fall victim to senseless, tragic acts that are often preventable. In the days and years ahead, I hope we can build on the actions taken by President Obama today.”

In November, Sen. Booker joined his colleagues in a letter calling on President Obama to utilize his executive authority to reduce gun violence. Sen. Booker also cosponsored the Background Check Completion Act of 2015, which would preclude a licensed gun dealer from transferring a firearm to a purchaser until a background check is completed.

Executive action again? Bypassing Congress and the Senate is not the way it’s suppose to work.

I am more concerned about Iran with nukes then a few guns.

Once again Booker misplaced priorities

IRAN and nukes, no problem, Americans and the 2nd amendment problem

No worries:
Loose the guns!
Let Bookers security squad protect him with a wink and a smile.
This will cause more gun and ammo sales

Silly Democrat executive actions, ‘cuse the pun, they always shoot in circular firing squads.

I’m all for bearing arms & I don’t believe in gun control. That being said this is much a do about nothing. Expanding background checks to try & keep guns away from criminals isn’t gonna accomplish anything anyway. So this is all poiititics as usual.

Of course Booker applauded what Obama did. Is there anything that he is in disagreement with the president? He even threw Israel under the bus with the Iran nuclear deal.

Big deal. He is with Obama on the gun control…,.,.. where was he for Israel with Iran. don’t ever forget. Remember, don’t ever forget….. when Hitler kllled your families and mine…. He was not with Israel. You are insane if you vote him in again. don’t be fooled …. He told you what he wanted you to hear when he was running for office. Been there, and saw it done… Wake up and smell the true story……. don’t ever forget……. History repeats itself, G-d forbid)

We all know where he stands. What surprises me is how everybody is so shocked every time. He is a liberal democrat and has never tried to hide it. Why is everybody shocked every time he shows it? And the even bigger question is on you for voting him in.
