The U.S. Flag at the Capitol and at Federal buildings are flying at half staff in solidarity with France, following the deadly attacks which left 129 people dead and scores injured.

The President by proclamation ordered the flags lowered until Thursday as France mourns. France is holding a three-day mourning period in response to the attacks.

On Sunday, French fighter jets launched attacks on ISIS strongholds in Syria.
