Twp: Come lend a hand for the Lake Carasaljo Beautification Project

Lake Carasaljo will be getting a cleanup, and the Township is asking residents to lend a hand.

“Come lend a hand with Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority, GCU, Tri-Beta, and Chi Alpha Epsilon in making Lake Carasaljo a more beautiful place than it already is by cleaning the shores.”

The event will take place April 2, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

They will be meeting at the parking lot off North Lake Drive and Private Way (near the amphitheater).

  1. The path from North Lake across to South Lake is a mess with bottles and junk.
There’s even an old bike in the water under the bridge! Two hours isnt enough! Public Works should dedicate a crew for several days. This publicity stunt is nice and appreciated but it aint gonna do the trick.

    • I don’t see how you consider it a “publicity stunt”. I feel its an embarrassment that the Lakewood community or even the township didn’t organize this cleanup. Instead Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority, GCU, Tri-Beta, and Chi Alpha Epsilon are doing it- all outside organizations. Disgraceful.

  2. Dear Mayor of Lakewood,
Cleaning up is always a great thing. Perhaps we can focus on cleaning up the town in general? The amount of litter one see’s around town is really unacceptable. May I suggest a “clean up lakewood it’s everywhere but specifically around schools and vacant land.

  3. Perhaps we could find a less stressful time to do this than erev pesach ? I would love to help but i still have 40 days of cleaning left in my house…..

  4. As a community, if pesach cleaning makes it too hard to join then we should organize and start a campaign to clean the town as a whole. A lot of the complaining from other towns about lakewood is the lack of respect for our properties. Part of והיה מחניך קדוש is your property and your neighborhood.

  5. in my Boy Scout days, I spent a full eight hours with my troop cleaning as part of my life project. (Once an eagle, always an eagle)

    two hours is a joke
