Two men have been charged in connection with yesterday’s shooting, Detective Sergeant William Rodriguez of the Lakewood Police Department, tells TLS. As first reported yesterday, two men were arrested after firing shots on Marshal Street, located in the Pine Acres neighborhood. The men, 18 and 19, who neighbors say fired approximately 8-9 bullet rounds, were stopped leaving the scene, and immediately arrested.
No injuries were reported, and the reason for the shooting remains under investigation.
The 18 year old was charged with possession of a weapon, stolen property, (weapon), CDS, CDS with intent to distribute and possession of weapon while in possession of CDS. His bail was set at $25,000 dollars.
The 19 year old, was charged with possession of hollow-point bullets, and his bail was set at $10,000.
Both are being held at Ocen County Jail.
Responsible for the arrest, were Officer Chris Spagnuolo, Officer Robert Shimonovich, Officer Mike Zwick, Sgt. Maureen Truex, Detective Steven Wexler and Leroy Marshall.
