  1. In unrelated news; at least 17 houseflys were found dead in a local home.
Investigators are looking into whether there has been any foul play, as all 17 were found hanging on a suspicious looking, sticky yellow strip of tape, which was suspended from the kitchen ceiling.
The tape was chillingly marked ” fly paper”….

  2. The owners should be put on trial for negligence, social services should open up a case against them. When they are found guilty the should be jailed and barred from ever owning any future pets.
After all don’t some love pets more than children these days?

  3. My local FD, in a town the same size as Lkwd, provides decals that state there is a pet in the home in case of fire or emergency. Residents can also have their location and that of their pets logged in a data base that is part of the FDs data. When an address comes up in a fire dispatch this info is available to the firefighters.
