  1. You’re right #5. Where I live (Raintree) they walk in the street and will not move for vehicles, even though Raintree has sidewalks. I just don’t get that. There are plenty of sidewalks in Lakewood. Do you see this in any other town??? What about Colts Neck, Marlboro, Milltown, etc., with limited sidewalks. Do you ever hear of this many accidents anywhere? Look how congested Red Banks is and also Asbury Park. We’re a joke to everyone.

  2. to #5 & 6
the reason for that is because this is the generation of Instant gradification where everone just wants things to go smooth.
thus people just walk on the streets without looking or care for themselves… due so that they shouldn’t need to walk a bumpy sidewalk or go up & down each block they walk.

WELCOME TO THE NEW GENERATION…. we all need serious help & need to learn how to live within our means & be happy with what Hashem gives us…. seek guidance & turn to Hashem for help & you will be helped by Hashem. Hashem never turns any of his children down

  3. Whoa, calm down. I was there, a lady turning left out of coventry hit a lady & her child. Both were ok & conscious – just a little banged up. The fact that 7 Hatzolah units were there was an incredible kiddush H-shem. DB

  4. Pedestrians are at fault as much as the drivers. I was driving on 4th Street the other day, when a kid (maybe 10-12years old) just walked right in front of my car from between 2 cars- i did not see him till he was in front of my car! I am still shaking from the incident even though I swerved and the kid was not hurt, thank G_d.

  5. When at a red light or at stop sign you drivers should stop where you’re suppose to and not when you’re inches away from hitting a pedestrian who is doing nothing but crossing the road when he or she is suppose to.

  6. Stop signs in Lakewood seem to be a mere suggestion not a requirement. Many people think if they are making a right turn, they can just go around the corner without stopping and not look if anyone is coming straight up the street.
