On Friday, erev Sukkos, the New Jersey Department of Health set up a mobile Covid-19 testing site at the corner of 10th Street and Clifton Avenue, where hundreds of saliva tests were administered.
Tomorrow, Monday, the Department of Health will be setting up two mobile testing locations in Lakewood. One will remain at 10th Street and Clifton Avenue, with another being added in the Blue Claws Stadium parking lot.
Appointments are not necessary and the tests are at no cost.
Both mobile testing locations will be open from 9 AM to 4 PM.
How long for results?
I went there Erev Yom Tov. There was a very short line and it moved quickly. All the info they take is your name and your dob and phone number. Not even your insurance.
Why are you all being like sheep and being tested
if you’re not feeling well stay home
if you need to go to the hospital go to the hospital
stop getting tested
bec if many healthy, well feeling, ppl test, and are negative, then we’ll bring down the percentage of positive tests! go out and get tested, especially if u feel well!
They don’t keep track of the negatives, only the positives. So testing and getting negative will do zilch. The only thing it will do if you’re positive, it will bring up the positives, which is the opposite effect. So, only get tested if you have symptoms. (I was at an urgent care the other day and they were only giving tests to those with symptoms)
i was sick, i tested for corona, and the results were negative. after two days i was feeling fine and was able to get out. if i wouldnt have tested, i would have had to quarrantine for ten days which (for me) would have been unecesarry. so, please test, if you feel sick because you might not have corona and then you wont have to quarantine.
Imagine if someone had covid months ago and gets tested now. If he’s still positive now, it’s called dead covid. It doesn’t matter, he still has to uarantine for 10 days. (If you’ve realized, they have changed it from 14 to 10). What good would that do?
To “Why are we testing”
We are testing because the Rabbonim, including the Roshei Yeshiva, and the individual Rabbonim in town, all asked us to go and test if we are not feeling sick. They are asking us to do that because the state said that the percent positive rate is insanely high and will require them to do things they don’t want to do to us, so they want us to have a higher number of negative tests.
That recording from the Rabbonim said “Listen to the government to go get tested.” When did the government ever say that everyone, including people with no symptoms whatsoever, get tested? All they said was get the positivity rate down. The way to do that is to make sure it doesn’t spread or to stop testing altogether.
The Rabbonim are trying to avoid a shutdown which is why they said that.
Actually there has been an ad on 880 for months that asks all people with or without symptoms to go and get tested, so…
According to the nj gov covid website, you should test if you have symptoms, if you’re an essential worker, or if you were exposed to someone with covid. It does not say to test just because you’re in the mood.

Stop lying and fearmongering. Of course they log the negatives.
besides for the fact that we should go just because our Rabonim said we should, shouldn’t we want to go so Lakewood’s rate of positive tests can go down so we are not shut down??? If you feel well or have antibodies, please help our yeshivos shuls schools etc stay open by testing and lowering the positivity rate.
The positivity rate goes down if it doesn’t spread. The way to get the positivity rate to go down is not to test, If you’ve noticed, there’s obviously something else going on as the Rabbonim said very strongly the week before NOT to test and just to stay home if you have symptoms. It’s political and they want to avoid shutdowns.
The most convenient way to get the positivity rate to go down is not that everyone get get tested, rather everyone should take precautions and practice social distancing as much as possible.
It has NOT been shown that having antibodies imparts immunity to COVID-19.
It has also not been shown where someone with antibodies was reinfected
You should test so in case you have it you won’t be spreading it to other people and maybe causing harm to another person.
Somehow the whole corona became about not letting the true numbers get out…
That’s not the point.
The point is to stay safe and alive.
How long does it take to get results?
I wouldn’t test. I don’t want to be part of a government plot to control us. As long as I feel good I wouldn’t go to be tested and if I didn’t feel good I would try to deal with it myself.
That is excellent for you to deal with it, but plse do so in your own home for 10-14 days w/o spreading it to others.
Pls let us know how long it takes to get the results
Stop with the conspiracy theories. You are putting people in danger. The only way we can avoid shutdowns are if we are honest about the problem and follow medical advice by wearing masks, social distancing etc…
You get results 24-72 hours after.
To Anon –
Of course negative cases are counted.
That is how they arrive at the positivity rate.
If we have a 27 percent positivity rate then out of 100 tests 27 we’re positive and 73 were negative.
You cannot arrive at a rate of positivity without counting both negative and positive tests.
I tested on Friday. I was told I would get my results within 72 hours. I have yet to hear anything.
Anyone know how to inquire about results?
