To Lakewood apartment buildings were evacuated this afternoon due to a gas leak. Incident happen approximately 5:00 PM at the intersection of New Hampshire Ave. and Chestnut Street, where crews apparently have struck a gas line.
Building number three and building number five were evacuated, residents say, while an investigation is conducted.
Personnel from NJNG are on scene, along with the LFD and EMS.
