Two 18-Year-Olds Injured in Off-Road Dirt Bike Crash In Manchester; One Airlifted [PHOTOS]

Two 18-year-olds were injured Sunday evening following a serious dirt bike crash in the Greenwood Forest Wildlife Management Area, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Hay Road, where Manchester Township Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident involving dirt bikes.

According to a preliminary investigation, a Kawasaki dirt bike was heading north on Hay Road when a Yamaha dirt bike suddenly attempted a U-turn, leading to a collision. The impact caused the rider of the Kawasaki to be ejected from his vehicle.

The Kawasaki rider, identified as William Vandergrift II of Browns Mills, suffered significant injuries and was transported by Manchester Township EMS to Community Medical Center. The Yamaha rider, Dominic Valdivieso, also of Browns Mills, was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital. Both teens are currently listed in stable condition.

Emergency personnel from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services and paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital responded to the scene. Priced Rite Towing also assisted.

The crash is under active investigation by Patrolman Gainey of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
