For those who didn’t watch, it was typical Trump talking, some funny insult comedy one liners (mostly from Tucker), and Trump’s hair was more white than the usual shade of gold, and he did not have any spray tan, seemed to be trying to look classically presidential.
Trump did not say anything controversial and he was very restrained and measured with his words.
In my opinion, this was really the first Presidential election debate and was not designed to campaign to his base, but rather to undecided voters and frustrated Democrats.
If I had to guess the outcome of the November elections now, I would predict that Trump would be under several new grand juries but that a COVID emergency would be declared and mail in voting would be the decisive event deciding the outcome. I would also say there is a greater than zero chance that some states will try and disqualify him from inclusion in both the RNC primaries and the general election, requiring him to be voted for through write in, splitting the Republican voters.
Also, he seemed to indicate a likely run against Gavin Newsome, not Biden or Harris.
