Trash Bins On Backorder At DPW – Only New Homes To Take Delivery

Township trash bins are on backorder, Department of Public Work’s Supervisor Tony Arrechi says. Arrechi says the DPW’s supply of the green trash bins are low, and are therefore currently only distributing tonewly-built homes.

The new shipment of about 1,000 new trash bins are expected to arrive sometime this month, Arrechi says. TLS.

The article clearly states that only newly built homes will get trash bins. hello, if your not in a new home you will have to wait till there is enough cans that you can get yours replaced. its not hard to understand is it?

Stop building until you can get more trash cans……

Are they low on the yellow cans too? I called twice requesting another recycling bin. It’s been over a month & I haven’t heard back from anyone.

If people were more responsible with the cans they are given, we wouldn’t have this problem. One way to keep your can from being damaged or even stolen (as I know they are sometimes) is to bring them in from the curb soon after the garbage man has emptied it. You are not supposed to leave it out on the sidewalk or the curb all week long and just carry the garbage out to it when it is needed to be taken out. That in a nutshell will solve some of the shortage. The other problem is the amount of homes being built in the town. Its out of control.

I love it! Four cans instead of two to make more holes! My favorite ones are the basement and attic ones.

When I moved into my new house a few years back, I had to pay a deposit for each new can….

when you move into a home they give you 1 free green bin and a free yellow bin. if you need more green bins you have to give a deposit for each extra bin. I don’t know the policy for yellow bins.
