TRAGEDY: [UPDATED] Lakewood Child Struck and Killed by Vehicle; Levaya Info

candle‎A Lakewood child was struck and killed by a vehicle today in the Catskills, TLS has learned. The five year old girl was reportedly struck by a vehicle around 3 PM

outside the Village Park Colony.

Upon arrival, Hatzolah members ‎found the child in Traumatic Arrest.

She was transported to a local hospital, but resuscitation efforts were unfortunately unsuccessful.

The Levaya of Rivka Weinman A”H Bas Reb Shalom will tentatively be taking place at 11:30 PM this evening, at the 7th Street Chapel.

  1. This is a terrible tragedy!!! Please people look when u drive just today my daughter was missed by a hair in a bungalow colony bc people drive like they r on the highways!!! More tragedies will happen if people don’t take cautions in the country it is truly a mrs that more tragedies like this don’t happen everyday

  2. Not Yenta’s – how are friends of the family supposed to know if it’s their friend/neighbor so that they can make sure to attend the levaya witout knowing who it is??

  3. #14 – what a poor choice of words…maybe think what you would like to say and how you would like to say it and when to say it -before you post next time.

  4. @paul it’s not about “yenting” we all feel very hurt for our brothers and sisters when s/t this tragic happens, and when we actually know the parent we will try to console them (levaya, shiva, or just knowing what to say..)..
