We regret to inform you of the tragic Petirah of a child found unresponsive in a vehicle in Lakewood today.
Hatzolah and police were called approximately 1:30 PM for reports of an infant unresponsive in a vehicle, and upon arrival initiated CPR.
The child was transported to MMCSC in Lakewood, where he was pronounced.
At this point, officials tell TLS, it is unclear if the child was Niftar from heat or from a medical episode.
It’s important to note, a car’s interior can reach dangerously high temperatures, even if the outside temperature is only 45 degrees, because sunlight and the car’s structure trap heat.
Police are investigating.

[Note: The above information was published after consulting with Da’as Torah]
It’s called the greenhouse effect.
What a horrible story.
Stop posting these stuff goyim look here to see our downfalls who ever needs to know will know
It’s important to post stories like this because it will bezh prevent more tragedies like it. This happens too often in our community, it must stop!
What a stupid thing to say! An innocent baby just lost their life and youâre worried about the âgoyimâ finding out! That should really be the least of anyone worries! Thatâs a sick and twisted way of thinking! You should be ashamed of yourself
Woah, relax… so he said a silly comment, glad you set him straight, but why all the vitriol?
You better check yourself before you wreck yourself!
Who are you talking to?
Goyim doesnât have to look at this to see the trouble within the community. More compassion for family and child and not for yourself.
I see now – be a liar and a sneak. Thatâs the tactic? Plenty of judgement and contempt and ethnic slurs should be thrown at anyone outside the âcommunity,â but negative truths should be hidden inside of it so you canât get what you give? What exactly is the definition of a âgoyimâ; it rings of negative connotation, but maybe a formal definition could be provided to help clarify and prevent reactive responses? If a specific group is constantly being disrespected by another groupâs need to refer to them using a demeaning term – every time – whatâs the reaction your community would deem appropriate? Communication only benefits a CommunityâŚ
Goyims formal definition is ânationsâ. Very un-slurry. Very generic. Very neutral.
The word “goyim” literally just means “nations”. And it refers to gentiles. And it’s not a negative term. Maybe some people use it with a negative connotation, but just because someone is using the word, it doesn’t at all mean they look down on “Goyim”. And just because some people use it in a demeaning way, it doesn’t mean everyone who says “Goyim” is using it in a demeaning way.
I was planning on putting in a comment very similar to your comment
I’m not sure if this is sarcasm but on the chance it’s not, “Goy/Goyim” means “nation/nations”, and is used as a hebrew term for non-jew. It’s not a derogatory term. Just like Christians using the term “Non-Christian”.
Yup there is nothing derogatory with the term Goyim, sorry if you always took it as a negative term
Maybe its good ppl should learn from this
Iâm truly saddened by this. I hope that Hashem offers them strength and comfort during this challenging time.
This is so painful. Taaaaatehhh!
Oyoyoyoy!!!đ
No need for politacs in a tragic situation.
Lets use that same energy to have this baby in our tefillos.
May Hashem watch over children at all times.
Need to out the children in the front seat.
But there they can be knocked out by an air bag. Although seems like the stakes are just as high in the back for getting left inside.
I took a meeting in my car today, and I was overheating within the hour. I cannot imagine a child bundled for a cooler day. I cannot imagine that people still make this mistake, but the enduring pain of losing a child is worse than any legal issues. Be kind to them.
you seem to not understand the concept of ‘forget’.
R”L we should all be saved from such a tragedy, but this is not an “oversight” by people.
You’d be surprised how easy it is. A simple change in ones daily routine can throw you off, and not realize there’s a sleeping child in the car.
Wow what a nasty insensitive comment.
Do you never make mistakes? Do you never forget anything? Then you must not be human.
What was the nasty part? Where I said that the pain of the loss of a child is worse than any legal punishment, or the part where I said be kind to them (the parents)?
Amazing that you attack my sympathetic comment and say nothing against the commenter who said “stop posting stuff that makes the Goyim look down on us.” I suppose that you don’t see that as a mistake?
Hashem yishmor. What a painful reality for the parents. May Hashem grant them a nechama

Every vechile should have an alarm to alert the driver to check the rear seats prior to exiting the vechile !
Some newer ones do but they get so annoying real fast when you don’t even have anything in the car.
Because everyone listens to the seatbelt beep while taking a short drive to shul on the next block!
Baruch Dayan Haemes. What a horrible tragedy R”L.
The Evenflo car seat reminder is available on Ebay for $20.
a law should be passed that all cars must have some climate control so the car automatically cools off after it reaches a certain temp. Like Tesla cars do. So many deaths can be prevented this way!
How much will that drive up the costs of every car?A Tesla is over 100k for a reason. What about older cars ?
Your comments are a bigger Chilul Hashem than the posting of the tragedy.
Food for thought:
If there is a child in the back seat, maybe open the window about 2 inches-winter or summer-the hot air or
the cold air from outside won’t harm the child. In the winter if the window is partially open, people will see the child or hear the child. Some cars today have very tinted windows. Open the window a little bit.
Why not just check to make sure a kid isn’t there?
Can TLS please not allow comments when posting such news. It may be important for us to hear the news but no need to bring out those waiting to pounce and make negative comments. Thank you
Get in the habit of leaving your left shoe in the carseat. You won’t go far without it.
Oey Terrible!
It makes sense: Now during Spring and early summer Ultraviolet UV Radiation from the Sun are at their maximum.
UV rays have very short wavelengths ranging from 100 to 400 nmâs compared to infrared wavelengths which from 780nm to 1mm.
It can now be 40 degrees outside and the interior of a dark colored vehicle parked in sunlight can reach as high as 120 degrees .
Yesterday I had a 10 am cardiologist appointment up in Morristown, it was 40 degrees outside up there, I came out a half hour later and my vehicleâs interior mustâve been at least 90 degrees, I had chocolates which I grabbed from Mishaloach Manos before I left Lakewood in my front seat of which they melted to Liquid.
If you notice during late summer or around Labor Day it may be 100 degrees outside of which your parked vehicleâs interior may even be cooler than it is outside. And your homes attic will cool down drastically as during that time infrared radiation from the sun takes over.
Never leave kids in a vehicle during any season. And donât go outside without wearing original Transitions UV blocking eyeglass lenses. Polarized lenses and many other expensive sunglasses donât block UV light . UV radiation is very strong now and can do great harm to eyes.
What was insensitive and nasty? The part where I said that no legal issues will ever come close to the pain of losing your child, or the part where I said be kind to them (the parents)?
Interesting that you attack my comment and say nothing about the person who wrote “don’t write stuff that makes the goyim look down on the community.” It amazes me that you don’t view that as nasty and insensitive.
(Apologies if this is a double comment, the site froze and I don’t believe the first went through).
