TRAGEDY: Boy Niftar after drowning at NJ waterpark

A boy was Niftar after drowning at the Sahara Sams waterpark yesterday evening. 

The incident occurred during a trip which included several other camps.

The boy, nine years old, from Boro Park, was found unconscious in one of the pools as the camp was getting ready to leave.

”The Berlin Township Police Department responded to reports of an unresponsive child in a pool at the Sahara Sam’s Oasis water park yesterday at approximately 7:34 p.m.,” the Prosecutor’s office said. “When authorities arrived, they located a 9-year-old male from Brooklyn, NY, unconscious. The child was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased at approximately 8:34 p.m.”

Misaskim from Lakewood responded to the scene as well, offering support and distributed food and drinks for the children who were held at the park while the investigation was underway.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. There have been no charges filed at this time.
