Caranetta Drive in Lakewood has been shut down between Freeman Road and Central Avenue following significant damage caused by this morning’s powerful storm, police told TLS.
According to authorities, sections of the roadway were washed away by the intense rainfall.
A similar situation occurred earlier today on Clover Street, where stormwater also compromised the integrity of the roadway.
Police say the road will remain closed for repairs until at least tomorrow. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and plan alternate routes.

That thing did not last long, did it?
My thoughts, exactly.
That section of road should stay closed forever, it causes more traffic than a presidential motorcade.
at least make it one way away from Central!
