This little headline was written so casual and non chalantly. no big deal just expect some more traffic on the 9 for 3 months for sidewalks enhancements.
Really? Gooooooood luck!
Why not just do these prob ever so crucial projects in the summer or just leave as is, seriously ??
Cross, prospect, James, central, oak, pine, cedarbridge, rt 88 all lead into the 9. More traffic on the 9 gets you backups all over town. Thank you for the generosity of fixing the sidewalks but no thank you!
Is this a late April fools joke or maybe a 3rd half color breakout ?!
Sidewalks and curbs look great to me.
If they feel the need to burn through cash to keep our taxes high or simply because their crews are bored after they finished destroying cedarbridge we can come up with slightly better ways for them to spend their time and OUR MONEY without wrecking our lives.
Expect delays until DECEMBER???? What is going on with this town?
I was expecting this road work to be for widening the 9 which is a serious need and cause I see them working on it all the way into toms river but if it’s only going to accomplish sidewalks then it’s not worth the traffic it’s already causing before the new school year starts. Imagine in just a few days once all schools are open what the traffic is going to be like. Try horrendous……
Please stop wasting everyone’s tax money on non emergency work versus work that is really needed for the town to be improved with quality of life.
Traffic this morning was a nightmare on Rt 9. This still without the girls schools and playgroups / babysitting having started.
Bring along a sefer or your laptop to get started on your day while waiting.
lol so pretty much the entire rt nine in Lakewood. I’m sure it will not affect traffic at all. This was such a thought out thing to start this right when the new school year starts instead of doing in summer when Lakewood is significantly emptier.
WHEN WILL TRAFFIC LIGHT GO UP AT OAK AND RT NINE
Just can’t please anyone in this town. Too early in the morning, you wake us up. Too late at night, you keep us awake. First thing in the morning, you mess up traffic. Lunchtime, you mess up traffic. Late afternoon, you mess up traffic. Over shabbos, you disturb our peace. Holiday, we’re trying to get out of town or have people coming to visit. Then in the next post, why don’t you fix the streets, curbs, install traffic lights and stop signs since we pay enough taxes already. Really people? They’re giving you a heads up so you can plan an alternative route or prepare you for the obvious delay if you decide to continue down 9.
You got that right
Are they building sidewalks with pedestrians in mind?
Or are they just putting in sidewalks with no thought of the people who will be using them?
Is there anywhere one can get alerts of road closures in town? I keep getting stuck at road closures would be glad to choose a different route if I knew the road was closed
This is an important project. The last 5 or so years have brought to this area many families who actually walk where ever they have to go.
We don’t need any more fatalities or serious injuries CH”V.
