1. Traffic Alert: Yellow Brook Road to be Repaved!
   Yellow Brook Road, the famous path that was used by Dorothy and her companions in the Wonderful World of Oz, will be repaved on August 15, 2024, Emerald City Road Dept. spokesman, Bill Wizardson, told reporters on Wednesday.
   “I am acutely aware of all the inconvenience that this project will cause to millions of dream-seekers, who yearn nothing else but to traverse this wonderful, mystical road that leads to bountless fulfillment and immeasurable happiness,” Mr. Wizardson said. “However, I give you my solemn oath that Yellow Brook Road will be up and running – bright and early – the following morning, August 16.
   In a statement issued earlier in the day, ‘The Lion’ – of ‘Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ fame – formerly known as the ‘Cowardly Lion’ – praised Emerald City and Oz officials, “For manifesting the courage to get this magnificent and nostalgic road repaved once and for all.”
   “It’s about time that a road of this stature and fame receives the much-needed reboot it deserves,” the Lion said. “I’d like to praise the people of Emerald City and the people of Oz who found the courage inside their hearts to defy all of the naysayers and procrastinators who sought to delay this project until eternity.”
   “If there’s one thing I learned in life,” the Lion said, “it’s that we need to muster up all of the courage within the deep recesses of our hearts, if we wish to travel down that wonderful Yellow Brook Road and to reach the ultimate destination of our dreams, the culmination of all the toil, sweat and heartache, and the many tests, we’ve endured, in order to reach that blissful, paradisal place at the end of the Yellow Brook Road.”
