I wish I could join the ceremony on Monday, but Monday is the Jewish holiday of Shavuos, and Orthodox Jews may not drive on Shavuos.
I will be there in spirit.
G-d bless the men and women of our great military and their families.
what jews holiday is on monday??
Shavuos (Sha-VU-ois). It’s the day that G-d gave the Torah to the Jews.
All synogogues will be having the Yizkor memorial ceremony on Memorial Day. I couldn’t think of a better day for our veterans to be remembered than on Yiszkor memorial.
Just remember who fought for you to have that freedom of a holiday. Anybody who lives in the area can still walk to the parade.
you may not be able to drive, but can’t you walk to the parade route and support the veterans that fought for you.
thank all of you who have served our country!
