Township Tax Deadline Extended Due To Storm

The Mayor and the Township Committee have announced that due to the recent Hurricane, the tax deadline for the 4th quarter has been extended. The 4th quarter deadline, due in November, has been extended November 10 to November 16.

Interest will be charged on all payments received after November 16.

This applies only to 4th quarter taxes.

This is in fact only a three day extension, because due to the weekend and holiday – Veterans Day, taxes were not due anyways until tomorrow the 13th.

Finally a town in New Jersey that does something fair for a change. Howell would never do this!

I called last Friday, to ask if they would be extending due to the storm and the man at the tax office said “no” it is due on the 12th..
I paid it this morning,…wish he would have given me the correct info!
