Township Honors Yaakov Chase Who Ran Youth Group For 10 Years

The Township Thursday evening presented Yaakov Chase with a plaque, honoring him for voluntarily running a successful neighborhood youth group for ten years.Flanked by family members, Chase was presented a plaque by Mayor Menashe Miller, who thanked him for the Pine Street area program which included approximately 100 children ages 7-11.

The program – which took place each weekend – ran until recently, when Yaakov moved from the neighborhood.

  1. Thanks Yanky for putting us in your stories. We miss Park Forest. I wonder what all the machers are machering on on Shabbos now. Mrs. Chase (dental hygienist) is glad no more sour sticks are being givien out.

  2. Yes the Chase family are a wonderful mishpacha. They always helped set the tone and the bar for quality and credibility in yiddishkeit. They also ran the bread program.
