Township gets ready to give Cedarbridge Ave. baseball field a makeover [VIDEO]

The Lakewood Township today removed the dugouts at the Cedarbridge Avenue baseball field as it gets ready to breath new life into it.

Mayor Ray Coles tells TLS the league hasn’t played there in years, so the Township is set to turn it into a family-friendly park.

For a while, the dugouts were used by homeless people, as well as alcoholics and others.

Mayor Coles says the Township will be installing a playground, and possibly basketball courts.

  1. Wow that’s great news. I really hope they will put up some basketball hoops. It’s really needed. The kids in the area have been asking to use people’s private hoops. Many families do allow them to use theirs but it doesnt always work out. It would be nice if they can actually have their own so that they can use it at their convenience.

  2. a loss??? all\l they are doing is upgrading it… they arent using the land for other things… im not really sure what you mean… please explain.

  3. we played baseball there every Sunday, who exactly did the condition of the field bother? did anyone complain, like the tens of thousands that complain about the traffic??
