(Wednesday, November 25th, at 7:00 pm at E-Source, 216 River Ave). Lakewood business owners are invited to a workshop and Q&A session with Phil ’Avner’ Costeff, a management consultant who has consulted to hundreds of businesses owners nationwide “I had invested in the company, but it hadn’t paid me money in years. They were short on money, had no line of credit, and their technology was getting old. I called Phil, and in 2 days he analyzed what was wrong, gave us a plan to fix it, and helped get it done. Ten months later, I received a nice check from the business. The company is financially stable, investing in new technology, and after years of losses, has finally become profitable.” Roger Kirk, Owner, HeadRoom Corporation, Bozeman, MT
“In one business, there were some problems. Avner analyzed the problems, he gave a clear and objective report to the investors, and helped the business owners to understand and work to fix the problems.” Rabbi Roth, Bais Din Maysharim of Lakewood
“Within the first hour of speaking to Mr. Costeff for the very first time, he had my business down to a science, Just by the questions he asked, I learned a lot of new strategies of how to increase the company’s sales, For two weeks we have been building a new sales system. I needed to find good people, he showed me where to advertise, helped interview them, and set their pay. Now he is training them to do a market survey, and helping me build a business-to-business sales system. Without this know-how ,I do not think I could have done any of this, or done it so fast.”Abe Perry, Owner, Silver Links Inc., Lakewood, NJ
This 2 hour workshop explores business tools useful in restructuring a businesses to achieve desired profit goals. Restructuring is useful in turning around businesses that experience reduced cash flow, lower sales, and imbalances between overhead and gross margins. It is essential when scaling up a business, and in freeing up owners to work on (instead of in) their business.
This workshop is open to Lakewood business owners and managers. It includes actual examples that have worked for real companies. Participants will have a chance to begin working on their turnaround plan. It is useful (but not required) to bring a copy of your financial statements so you can work on your turnaround plan (they will stay in your hands, and remain confidential). You should also bring a calculator.
The material covers the 3 main areas of business: Sales/Marketing, Operations, and Finance. You will receive business tools to reduce costs, improve productivity, and increase sales. However this workshop is not the end, but rather the first step to achieving reaching your profit goals. So participants will receive additional materials and support. Businesses that meet the selection criteria will be eligible for a no-charge analysis of their business.
The business analysis applies the tools covered in the workshop to the specific business, in a confidential, one-on-one setting. The results form the basis for a customized turn-around plan for that business.
