The LPD car seat check event will be taking place between 5-8pm tonight at 733 Cedarbridge Avenue, (across Blueclaws).
The events are scheduled to take place on the first Tuesday of each month – due to fire house availability.
Certified Child Passenger Safety technicians will inspect your car seat for expiration, recalls, improper installation and proper use. If any issues are observed, the technician will address the problem(s) and educate the caregiver. The caregiver will be able to uninstall and reinstall the car seat in case they need to install the car seat in another vehicle.
There is no charge for the event.
The majority of the children I see when i’m sitting in traffic which is often are not even in car seats sure the babies are but not toddlers I’ve even seen little ones in the front passenger seat without even the seatbelt on..not to mention children constantly standing and moving up and down the aisle of this towns hundreds of school buses.. more should be done to stop this..like perhaps a ticket now there’s a novel idea
I’ve never seen that, sorry. Never seen a baby or toddler not in a car seat.
