Tonight: LPD Car Seat Check Event

The LPD car seat check event will be taking place between 5-8pm tonight at 733 Cedarbridge Avenue, (across Blueclaws).

The events are scheduled to take place on the first Tuesday of each month – due to fire house availability.

Certified Child Passenger Safety technicians will inspect your car seat for expiration, recalls, improper installation and proper use. If any issues are observed, the technician will address the problem(s) and educate the caregiver. The caregiver will be able to uninstall and reinstall the car seat in case they need to install the car seat in another vehicle.

There is no charge for the event.

  1. Tonight: LPD’s [Lakewood Pediatric Department’s] Infant Checkup Event!
The LPD’s [Lakewood Pediatric Department’s] infant medical checkup event will be taking place Tuesday between 5-8 PM at the Lakewood pediatric headquarters located on the corner of Toddler Ave. and Huggies Street.
Board certified pediatric technicians will inspect your toddlers for common infantile maladies, like runny noses, diaper rashes and improperly installed diapers.
If need be, incorrectly installed diapers will then be reinstalled according to the diaper manufacturers’ specifications.
If any of the aforementioned issues are observed, or any other issues are observed, the pediatric technicians will address the problem and educate the parents and the baby sitters on how to properly deal with their babies’ runny noses and how to install their babies’ diapers correctly.
Parents and baby sitters will then have both the knowledge and the ability to correctly uninstall and reinstall their babies’ diapers, if, for some reason, the babies need to be cleaned.
There is no charge to attend or parcipitate in the event. However there is a $2 charge per pacifier for parents who wish to purchase brand new, top-of-the-line pacifers for their young ones.
Toddler seating at the event will be limited, hence parents are advised to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure their adorable tiny tots have a highchair to sit in.
