Tonight: Free Nurses Network event in Lakewood

The traditional definition of a nurse is a person trained to care for the sick or infirm. Yet, in our post millennial society, the capacity of a nurse has evolved tremendously. Especially with health care being dictated by insurance companies and Obamacare, the role of the nurse is now very versatile and muti-faceted. The opportunities seem endless. In addition, the basic RN has so many options to further her career, whether it be in formal schooling to get an advanced practice degree, or in opportunities for promotions in her work environment.

The seemingly infinite possibilities become more complex when adding the considerations of a frum lifestyle. To address these topics, this evening, February 27th Nurses Network of Lakewood will be hosting an event geared at exposure to a wealth of firsthand information from those who have successfully utilized opportunities and advanced their careers. The program will include a comprehensive presentation given by frum women experienced in a variety of specialties. They will discuss their job descriptions, salary expectations, growth opportunities and more. Included will be a Certified Nurse Midwife, Family Nurse Practitioner, MDS coordinator, hospital nurse manager, camp nurse, administrative nurse and others. A special surprise presenter will also share valuable knowledge about how nurses can utilize their skills for a special chessed opportunity.

In addition to the featured presentation, the refreshments, donated by the event sponsors, as well as exciting free instant raffles will offer the participants a social night out. The featured promotional items and literature at the event will provide exposure to job opportunity information in an appealing, informative manner. The event will allow nurses to interact on a personal level with dozens of others in the same profession. Networking will abound as nurses participate in roundtable introductions.
