  1. I am sure the Lakewood scoop verified it before putting it in. Besides, before you post such a comment you must think of the potential your words will possibly make a almannah and yesomim lose money

  2. the reason they dont make a go fund me page is because Gofund me takes a percent and they want all of the money raised to go to the family

  3. I signed up for Areivim for just this reason. We should all do the utmost to protect ourselves in the event of such a crisis C”V. (I am not affiliated with the organization other then having signed up as a member). It hurts to have to see fundraisers go up for yesomim. It’s so much more bakavodik when it’s able to be behind the scenes.

  4. Chestnut strong, I hear you. I meant it for the positive to encourage some people that may be questioning. but I guess you are correct it can have negative effects as well.

  5. Areivim is not life insurance.

For a few hundred bucks a year you can do the responsible thing and get a respectable policy

Ito should be a requirement of every kollel and shul membership.

  6. i davened and learned in the same shul as the niftar. we never went through the formal shalom aleichem process and i wasn’t even sure of his name. yet whenever he saw me he always smiled and would ask how i was. he would take all the time in the world at any unworldly time to hear my shtikl Torah and then would finish the conversation by saying that it is a good vort and that ‘you can say that chiddush’

    i will miss him

  7. The Westgate Lakewood Community is organizing this worthwhile campaign with the rav Rabbi Zymbal at its helm. For anyone who is from out of the area or is just not familiar, I posted my name and phone number 917-568-4207.

  8. Learning from Albert Kahn of ” I Can’t Take it Anymore” I would add that both parents need a minimum of a million dollars of Life Insurance. It should be at least 30 year term, as if a person’s medical situation changes (diabetes, high blood pressure, weight gain, medications) term insurance becomes expensive. Therefore, parents should buy as much as they can, from an agent who understands frum families, as soon as they have children to raies and marry off. The rates are very reasonable when you are young and healthy and can be locked in for 30 years. Areivim is an addtion, and its literature itself says that they do not replace life insurance. May we never need this hishtadlus. Ubila Hamaves Lanetzach.
