A Toms River man pleaded guilty to drug and weapons charges stemming from a five-month narcotics investigation, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office announced.

Ravonn Terry, 38, pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Dina M. Vicari to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a handgun, Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.

The charges stem from an investigation that ran from October 2025 through February 2026 in Toms River Township.

Detectives from the Stafford Township and Toms River Township police departments surveilled a residence on Promise Avenue in Toms River that Terry was allegedly using to store and distribute cocaine, according to the prosecutor’s office.

On Feb. 23, 2026, detectives watched Terry leave the residence and get into the passenger seat of a vehicle. Toms River Township police then conducted a motor vehicle stop, and Terry was taken into custody without incident.

The Toms River Township Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team subsequently executed a court-authorized search warrant at the Promise Avenue residence. Detectives seized about 32 grams of cocaine, a Smith and Wesson revolver that had been reported stolen, drug paraphernalia associated with distribution, and $2,400 in cash, authorities said.

Terry was charged and held at the Ocean County Jail until his guilty plea this week.

At sentencing, scheduled for Oct. 16, prosecutors said they will seek a 10-year state prison term on the narcotics charge and a five-year term with 42 months of parole ineligibility on the weapons charge, to run concurrently.
