Toms River EMS: At No Time Has Any Call For Service Been Denied An Ambulance Response

Toms River EMS has issued the following statement following the suspension of operations of Silverton EMS:

In light of recent events involving the suspension of operations of Silverton EMS by Toms River Township, we want to reassure our community that Toms River EMS is fully committed to ensuring all emergency calls for service are answered in a timely and professional manner. Toms River EMS continues to work closely with the Toms River Police Administration and Toms River Township Administration to address the needs of the Toms River community as a whole.

We are aware that there has been a considerable amount of rumors and misinformation circulating on social media and other outlets regarding the ambulance response in our service area. We want to assure the community that at no time has any call for service been denied an ambulance response. Toms River Police Officers, who are fully trained in Basic First Aid, CPR, Narcan (Naloxone), and oxygen administration, have also been responding to EMS calls for service.

Our priority remains the health and safety of our community, and we are dedicated to providing the highest level of service during this time. We appreciate your understanding and support.

Please rest assured that if you call 911 for a medical emergency, an ambulance will rapidly respond to your location.
