The hundreds of Lakewood volunteers who give up their time, weekly and monthly, to put together packages and discreetly make deliveries around town, Tomchei Shabbos is on their minds around the year.

The unimaginable budget that has to be raised by Tomchei Shabbos in order to be able to purchase and provide so much food for so many families is an almost impossible feat, yet it is on the minds of the directors of the Mosad literally at all times, and they take no break from their indefatigable Avodas Hakodesh.

Tomchei Shabbos needs you to feel the burden for one evening.

Tomchei Shabbos, or as it truly should be called, Tomchei Every Day, does not rest. Rain, snow, cold, heat, no matter what the weather may be outside and no matter what other challenges or obstacles may be in the way, the deliveries never stop. People have to eat. Families must be cared for. People’s dignity and respect are first and foremost and cannot take a break. Ever.

Tomchei Shabbos is relying on your presence at the dinner, for one evening.

This Motzaei Shabbos, the annual Tomchei Shabbos dinner will take place in Bais Faiga. This event is not “just another dinner”. This event is not one that can be left for other people to attend. This momentous occasion is the time and place for all of Lakewood to unite and proclaim that Every Family in our community counts. It’s an opportunity to proclaim that you recognize what Tomchei Shabbos does, the extent of how far-reaching their remarkable deeds are and that your participation for a few hours is your show of support for them for an entire year.
