By L. Halevi. With all the attention and hoopla on the #TomcheiTishrei “Million Dollar Day of Giving” which is starting tomorrow, it’s easy to lose focus of the reason for the campaign, and the actual merchandise which the campaign is enabling.
Throughout the day today, huge (and I mean huge) shipments of thousands of pounds of food, pallets of grape juice, chicken, potatoes, fish and every other imaginable food staple, are arriving at the Tomchei Shabbos warehouse in industrial park, to be readied for the daunting task of delivering the much needed items to over a thousand Mishpachos in our community who would not have their basic needs if not for Tomchei Shabbos.
Below are a few photos of today’s delivery, to give you a small glimpse into what your donations will be paying for! And remember, that every dollar given to the #TomcheiTishrei campaign will e quadrupled by a group of altruistic donors to maximize the power of your contribution and ensure that we all, together, merit quadrupled Zechusim as we enter Yom Hadin!
The campaign starts tomorrow, Monday, September 18th, at 10 am and goes for 36 hours.
These Mishpachos- our neighborsm friends and relatives, are counting on Tomchei Shabbos. Tomchei Shabbos is counting on you.
Visit www.Quadruple4Tomchei.org to be a part of the Zechus!
Amazing! This organization is so underrated! They deserve millions!
I’m looking forward to doing my part. I used to be a recipient of Tomchei Shabbos deliveries. B”H I no longer need it, but when I did, they were literally life savers.
They come before other campaigns, in my mind. They deserve it. They are the bread on the table for what these THOUSAND (!) families need.
THEY DESERVE YOUR SUPPORT.
Just curious how the number came to exactly 1000 families.
Not 1001 and not 1005. Just 1000.
In my opinion there are alot more then 1000 families who need tomchai shabbbos or similiar. I know this because im very involved in the matzav of lakewood.
To jj the q u asked doesn’t sound like ur In the sugya of the matzov in the ihur of lkwd
JJ,
I would imagine the number 1,000 would be what they had undertook to supply, not necessarily the amount in need. Regardless of the number, the organization is 1 of honor and dignity to those who they CAN help.
May they have much hatzlacha.
