VIDEO: A toddler was flown to the hospital this afternoon after suffering severe burns on his body, officials say. The one year old was reportedly burned by hot water and suffered burns on his arms, chest and neck area.
Hatzolah BLS and ALS units responded to the home and transported the child to the parking lot of the Lakewood High School, and was flown by MONOC to the Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. TLS-60/TLS-16/TLS-CCP.

Refuah shelaima bikarov!
does anyone know how this little child is doing?
That MONOC1 has become a great asset to the residents of the state..Its parked local to Ocean and Monmouth county, they can be airborne in under 15 min from time of dispatch..The state troopers are a great asset as well but they are not local to the area..All four Medivacs are important to this state..I am glad we have them…
So my comment gets removed all because I asked where the parents were when this happened…unreal
To #5. Years ago, my sister got severely burnt on her legs when she was little because my grandmother walked passed my mom with some VERY hot soup and slipped right onto my mom and the baby. Accidents do happen. We have to pray that it doesn’t happen to us. Wishing a complete and speedy recovery to the baby. This incident does not mean neglect on behalf of the family. The family could have been right there and the accident still could have happened.
This might be a good time for a reminder: Make sure that pot handles above the stove are placed toward the back of the stove top and away from reaching toddlers who can pull the pot handle and burn themselves with its hot content.
Our prayers are with this child and his family.
how much time do they save by going with a helicopter?
prob an hour and a half drive..by car..or 50 min by ambulance..can be at the burn center in livingston in 15 – 20 min

15 – 20 min…… not true. You have to add the time it takes the Helo to get here, prep the patient and do the pre flight checks to take off. Sometimes it is faster to drive to the hospital. Why don’t you ask a First Aider for the correct information before posting.
