Toddler Enters Second Open Heart Surgery

[COMMUNICATED] Shlomo may only be two years old, but he is no stranger to hospital beds and surgeons’ tables.

Born with a serious heart defect, little Shlomo Roten has spent most of his life in the hospital. He has already had open heart surgery and intensive treatments. However his journey is not yet over: He requires a second surgery to live. This time, the procedure is in America.

Having spent everything they had on his previous treatments, his parents are, tragically, unable to afford the surgery to save his life. While the Roten parents sit by Shlomo’s bedside awaiting a miracle, six other children suffer in poverty at home.

A fundraising campaign has been started in hopes of saving the little boy’s life. For those scrolling past, it is perhaps another story of tragedy among many. For the Roten family, it is everything.
