Toddler Airlifted to Hospital with Severe Burns

medevac state police 4-11-14A Lakewood toddler ‎was airlifted to the hospital this afternoon after receiving serious burns, officials say.

The approximately 18 month-old boy reportedly grabbed a hot coffee from a counter, and suffered‎ burns to his arms. A parent was nearby at the time, an official said.

Hatzolah Paramedics transported the boy to a Prospect Street landing zone from where he was airlifted to the Saint Barnabas Burn Center in Livingston.

Lakewood’s Detective Bureau responded to the home to investigate the incident.

  1. Thats such good news. Kids are so quick and so inquisitive. As much as we try to protect them, they still get into mischief!!!! Thank god hes doing well and home with his family.

Our community is one big family and we all care for one another ‘s well being – as such when this story was posted on TLS we were all deeply conncerned for this little boy and of course for his parents. So we are all somewhat relieved that things are much better then what was first thought. May your little one have a quick recovery and you should continue to schepp nachas from the whole family.
