These public unions think all the benifits are FREE. We the taxpayer pay for everything. We don’t want it. We want the public to receive same as the private sector!
it’s a good thing we have a BOE who for the first time in tn years have real insight to what’s happening.
What is ment by comment #2? We as school employees pay into our pension and health benefits. Maybe if the Goverment had done as they were supposed to do for years we wouldn’t be in the mess. Every person who works in Lakewood has taken a smaller raise to protect there benefits. Look around and see how much other districts get. Lakewood is the lowest paid district in the surrounding area.
For your information these public employees pay towards their pensions and health care. Workers should have the right to collective bargaining. Not be dictated upon. Nothing is for free, especially for the BOE in Lakewood, those employees contribute towards their benefits and pension. And rightfully the BOE should settle the contracts. Many of our frum people work for the BOE and for almost 2 years now, the BOE hasn’t settle. The staff works very hard and they are under paid. Settle now , enough is enough already.
