Today: Lakewood Police Department to host its free monthly car seat safety check

The Lakewood Police Department today will be hosting its monthly car seat check event.

The event is held on the first Tuesday of each month, between 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the Fire House at 800 Monmouth Avenue.

Certified Child Passenger Safety technicians will inspect your car seat for expiration, recalls, improper installation and proper use. If any issues are observed, the technician will address the problem(s) and educate the caregiver. The caregiver will be able to uninstall and reinstall the car seat in case they need to install the car seat in another vehicle.
