Will they tell us at the polling station if we are registered as Democrat or Republican ,if we don’t know ?

yes and you can declare yourself at the station to either side

If you are an independent you can declare yourself at the station but if you are already affiliated with a party tou canot switch at the station.

I don’t understand why people living in a city known as the ear hatorah would not follow the hadracha of the gedolai hatorah of that city. If you don’t agree with them why live there? I know there will be altruistic reasons given, but the basic trust in our rabbonim is not something that should be thrown away so lightly….
