Today: Bone Marrow drive in Lakewood and the tri-state area to save young father’s life

In a remarkable show of Achdus, Jewish communities worldwide are coming out in droves to help save a young-man’s life.

Chaim, a 24-yeal-old father with a 7-month old child, has a rare disease and is in desperate need of a match for a bone marrow transplant.

In a magnificent Kiddush Hashem, thousands of people hoping to be a match came out to have their cheeks swabbed at Yeshivos, Shuls, private homes, and local businesses in Baltimore, Brooklyn, Lakewood, Passaic, New Square, the Five Towns, the Catskills, and Yerushalayim.

Following the phenomenal success of last week’s drives, organizers arranged for multiple testing sites for Motzai Shabbos and Sunday throughout the tri-state.

A partial list includes:

Boro Park – The Shomer Shabbos Shul; tonight 11:30pm-2:00am and Sunday from 8am-12am.

Flatbush – Rabbi Landau’s Shul; Sunday 7:30am-10:30am and again from 1:30pm-8:30pm.

Passaic – Ahavas Israel; Sunday 6:00am-10:00am.

Manhattan – Tonight at the Yehuda Green Slichos.

Monsey – Tonight at the Scheiner Slichos.

Lakewood – 216 East 8th street (corner of East End) from 12pm-12am. If you are unable to attend during those times, you can stop by the Lakewood location anytime to pick up a swabbing kit.

The test consists of a simple swab on the inside of the cheek followed by filling out a small form.

If someone were to be a match, he or she would only have to undergo a small, non-invasive procedure to draw some blood.

Volunteers are still needed. If you would like to take part in this great Zchus and organize a drive in your home or business, or to find a testing location near you, please call 917-902-6196. To order a free home kit, please visit https://www.giftoflife.org/register.

Please continue to Daven for Chaim Dov Ben Ressa Shoshana.
