Lakewood school district general counsel Michael Inzelbuch says they will be doubling the amount of food boxes this week, and lines will be shorter than last week.
Last week, 10,000 meals were served. This week, 20,000 meals will be served.
Eligibility: Children from 0-18 years of age.
Special needs students, who have not yet graduated, up to 21 years of age.
Children who attend a summer school/program and/or summer camp and receive breakfast and lunch are not eligible for a meal box, as each child may only receive one breakfast and one lunch daily.
Food Box will begin at 4:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m., or until supplies run out, at the following two locations:
- Lakewood Middle School
- Clifton Avenue Grade School
Meal boxes include one breakfast and one lunch for 7 days for each eligible child, for a total of 14 meals per week.
The Attached form must be completed prior to receiving a meal box.
Please feel free to print the form prior to your arrival, or as you wait in line.
The form will help you figure out how many meals you get per family, and will assist in helping the line move faster!
