Hatzolah, Bikur Cholim, Deborah Heart and Lung and Chemed will be holding their 9th annual Community Health Screening event for men today. The annual event, says Hatzolah, has already saved many lives as a result.

Last year’s event attracted hundreds of men, many whom have discovered serious medical condition they were previously unaware of, an event coordinator tells TLS.

The screening includes testing for Blood Pressure, Heart rate, Oxygen Saturation, Glucose, Cholesterol and BMI.

This year, there is a new test being offered. Deborah will have EKG Techs and Cardiologist at the screening to screen all people determined to be at higher risk. The cardiologists will also be available to answer all questions.

The screening will take place at Chemed’s Auditoruim (1771 Madison Ave) between the hours of 1PM-5PM.

Due to lengthy wait times in the past, some changes were put in place to speed up the process, especially during the bein hasdorim hours, says the coordinator.
