You havent cut one expense, we all know if you dont cut expenses taxes will not go down.
Bottom line is if you want to pay more taxes then keep the current politicians in power.

Dont talk about cutting 800,000 instead of 200,000from the boe. last year they got an increase and this year they got an increase. this year they also recieved 11 miilion extra stimulus money.

Clinton won the election in 92 by saying to voters its the economy stupid same can be said to steve langert and bob singer its the taxes that people care about.
i believe bob and steve will not be voted in again as taxes was the main reason people voted for them and they ran on lowring taxes and now they come up with excuses.
why is our EMT's making 74k a year??? why does the town need outside workers for all the dept. bring them inhouse!!!
Lakewood has 628 Tax Exempt organizations which are worth $617,610,583. Maybe if there were some centralized schools in the town instead of the enormous amount we have the homeowners whould not have to make up so much of the burden. I can understand picking up trash for schools for free in most towns that don't abuse the luxury however Lakewood is the exception. These schools are nothing more than a money making ploy. Look at the house's of the school owners. There is also the matter of almost 11 million dollars in back taxs in this town, they should spend some time collecting that. Stop blaming the current polititions for the problem. If everyone in this town paid their fair share this town would be in excellent shape.
