TLS Article Reunites Lost Puppy With Its Owner

A six year old puppy was reunited with its owner following a reader-submitted article posted on TLS on Thursday. Lolita, 6, went missing from her home Central Avenue home Wednesday evening, and when Starr’s fiancee – Micah Robinson noticed the dog running loose in the street near Gudz Road and New Central Avenue, he brought it home with him in hopes of locating her owner.

Once home, Starr gave Lolita food and cleaned her up, and then sent in a letter to TLS about the lost young puppy.

“Unfortunately she has no collar, but she clearly is a family dog as she is calm, responsive and very well behaved,” Starr wrote in the email she sent to TLS.

Sure enough, Jesse – the dog’s owner – heard about the article on Friday and quickly logged on to TLS. Immediately upon seeing the photo of her lost puppy, Jesse was ecstatic.

“I was so worried and thought she was outside in the cold somewhere,” Jesse told TLS. “When I saw the picture, I said oh-my-G-d, that’s her.”

Friday afternoon, Jesse brought her ownership papers to Starr and Micah to prove it was indeed her puppy, and thanked them immensley for their truly good deed.

A short time ago, Jesse and Lolita returned home a united family. TLS.

  1. to #6 most dog owner’s including myself I called my 13 year old dog a puppy, it’s like a child. I am so glad that it ended happy, thanks to Lakewood scoop and and to the person who fould her.

  2. This is a good story of friendship, kindness, and sharing of responsibility.
Everyone rose to the occasion, and did a kind deed for someone that they did not know.

The finder was pleased about finding the dog, and looking for the owner.

TLS was helpful in bringing the people together.

The owner was pleased and thankful for the help of others that were instrumental in keeping the dog safe, caring for it, and returning the dog to it’s rightful owner. The owner was also pleased that TLS is the major source of information in Lakewood Township.

All of this is good and kind. Congratulations to all.
