The 2014 Pesach Chol Hamoed carnival will be for one day only, Thursday, April 17th from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM at Pine Park.
Attractions – BMX “Big Air” Bicycle Stunt Show, magician, cotton candy (15,000 cones, 400 pounds of sugar), 36 rider capacity electric spinner ride, pirate ship, train, inflated rock climbing, obstacle course, moon bounce, fun slide, petting zoo, juggler, and rides on military/police vehicles.
The schedule for the shows is as follows: 11:30-12:00 Magician 12:15-1:00 BMX “Big Air” Stunt Show 1:15-1:45 Magician 2:00-2:45 BMX “Big Air” Stunt Show 3:00-3:30 Magician 3:45-4:30 BMX “Big Air” Stunt Show 4:45-5:15 Magician
Rain Date -if there is a likelihood of rain on Thursday, then check www.kna613.com Wednesday night for a possible change to Wednesday, April 23rd (Isru Chag). Do not call the Roberts home.
Changes from previous carnivals
The storytelling has been replaced by the BMX bicycle show to accommodate more people.
The pekelach have been replaced by one nosh and one prize. Since the number of children needing nosh has varied in previous carnivals, from 4000 to 8000 children, KNA will provide chocolate bars for the first 4000 children and potato chip bags for up to the next 4000 children. Any extra bags of chips will be returned to KNA for future shul use.
Lost children will not be announced. Instead, all lost children and parents should meet at the corner of the stage by the “lost children” sign.
Sponsor – This is a Traveling Tykes event but it will be paid for by Kollel Ner Avrohom, Inc.
Cost – Everything is free. Nothing will be available to be purchased or paid for.
Objective – To provide a kosher and sweet Chol Hamoed event for children while helping to relieve some of the financial burden on Frum families. everything is subject to change. For weather caused changes to the schedule, please refer to www.kna613.com. Do not call the Roberts home.
Final Notes – This is a Travelling Tykes event that is organized and operated by Travelling Tykes. The cost is being deferred by Kollel Ner Avrohom, Inc. for this religious celebration.

Now for the *suggestion * feedback – the kids love the pekelach not just bec of the nosh that was in it, but bec of the few small prizes that are in it.
The kids were disappointed to hear that it’s gone.

Why is it needed to list exactly how many pounds of sugar and cones are supplied? Are these just meant to be just fun facts?

While I don’t know Rich Roberts personally I am in awe of his tzedaka and chesed. That he even came up with this idea demonstrates what a special person he is.

Lakewood has become famous for this extra ordinary chesed. Thank you R’ Kasriel for this wonderful kiddush Hashem. Chol Hamoed events were always about someone trying to make a fortune on the backs of already financially strapped families. We had a great time and enjoyed the glasses silly straws for more fun when we got home. This should be tremendous zechus for you and your wonderful eyshes chayil!
#6 – I am curious as to why you didn’t have someone announce over at the carnival that someone may have switched and mistakenly taken your child’s sneakers. Only lost children they said that they wouldn’t announce – but sneakers most probably they would have….

We had an amazing time at the carnival! My 2 boys really enjoyed the bike show. They wanted to stay and watch it again. It was a great addition to the carnival! Thanks for giving us a great day to remember!

Dr. You. Are. The. Man. It was an absolutely beautiful event. Thanx so much. Everyone loved it. My kids were using the glasses/straw by the supper table – having a blast with it. The bike show was amazing. I think one of the high-flyers is STILL flying ! Thanx so much ! Tizku L’mitzvos !!!

the carnival was great great great. Just realize it was emptier for a few reasons – A. More people go away for pesach than sukkos. B. There was only one full day of Chol Hamoed so that’s when more families will make their big trip. This past sukkos there were many full days of chol hamoed so more people came as their “little trip” day. C. Whoever thought it was too crowded on sukkos didn’t come this time.
