  1. Ok I’m up my area has not seen or heard any plows all night, cedar row walden 14th,I also think we ran out of Salt like many other towns. Ok Be Safe

  2. I am a big salt critic of this town but we must wait for the snow to stop its a waste of money ans man power to salt/plow while its coming down, and yes all principles make your minds up and take in to account the traffic nightmare your about to make in this town because there is no boe bussing

  3. there is a state of emergency in effect why oh why would you put yourself and children in jeopardy to drive them to school, can’t they learn something at home? Mine can.

  4. I’m not trying to complain but the fact is that lkwd streets are terrible compared to other places. After one of the past storms for over a week later they were still terrible ice on many of the streets. The fact is that the snow is not coming down fast enough that it’s not worth it to keep plowing throughout the storm. Not everyone works in a school and many people need to get out to go to work. The plows should have been up and about before 5 this morning to make sure that all the streets are plowed by 8 o’clock.

  5. Stay indoors!! Unless you’re an essential government employee, there’s no reason to make first responders jobs harder because you have to make it to the grocery or shul. Exercise common sense and caution and enjoy the day home with your kids instead of being upset they’re home.

  6. How come DPW hasn’t shoveled my driveway yet?!?! I pay so much taxes!!!!!!! Wah Wah Wah.

They should bring me some hot cocoa once they’re at it.

  7. To #6 to be on the public school closures is not easier on parents. Most households have two working parents. Just because school closes doesn’t mean the parents will be off. That doesn’t mean we should endanger our children, but since the decision from the board of Ed is made very early their decision is not always what it needs to be. The private schools wait so that they can make a more informed decision and maybe have school so the parents can go to work and the children can learn.

  8. Use the opportunity when you are home with your kids, to see the greatness of Hashem in snow. Don’t talk about it for too long, they may get bored. Use most of the day of course for complaining!

  9. school Bus Driver’s don’t want to work in this Mess. you put us in danger driving in this mess and the kids as well. Please make the right decisions

  10. Driving in this town is a mess with or without snow terrible for buses with cars double parked and parked next to corners. The people talking on their phones and not paying attention. Running school lights and the list can go on and on.

  11. Rabbisie;

To all those chushiva parents who are able to stay home with your children today.

    Today is the day.

Today is the day that you bond with your child(ren).

    Play with them.
    Shmooze with them.
    Bake with them.
Look them in the eye and tell them you love spending time with them.

Today is the day to create those amazing memories that will last forever.

Memories that your children will tell their children.

Don’t let it go to waste.

Today is the day when you can make a child -a person.

  12. To # 29.
Why should you wait for a day like today to tell your children you love them? Or play with them or bake or have fun? Too much dependence on school learning makes young adults that are NOT ready for the real world.

  13. round 2 of snow coming tonight, so stay home off the roads, clearing at the end of the day, no school buses should be out either. I hope no school not letting my kids out.
