Throat-Slashing Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder, Other Charges

The suspect from yesterday’s throat-slashing incident has been charged, Detective Steve Wexler tells TLS. The suspect, who had reportedly been stalking the victim for some time, was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, Wexler says.

Bail has been placed at $250,000 with no 10 percent option, Wexler says.

The attempted murder charge alone could land him 20 years in prison if convicted.

Sources tell TLS the victim’s condition has improved.

The suspect was last listed in critical but stable condition. TLS

  1. This is sad but knowing both people and what he did was wrong the truth is not being told. He never stalked her and there is alot more to the story. but like i said what he did is wrong and justic should provail.

  2. Whatever the circumstances were, does not justify anyone stabbing another person.
If by chance this was a stalking case, the restraining orders are not worth the paper they are written on. And it was New Years Eve, did alcohol play a part in this? People tend to think they are bullet proof when they are drunk.

  3. The American Legion Post 166 should be looked at for there were signs that some thing bad might happen with the action on both partys and post 166 was made aware of before all this took place

  4. To #4, 6 & 7, if indeed you know what happened. I hope you have come forward and told the police and not just the Lakewood Scoop. If that is the case, then should be liable and prosecuted as well.
