  1. The one on Madison was a hit and run. Someone ran through a red light and hit a boy crossing on his bike. The boy had the walk signal. The driver seemed not to have even realized that he hit someone and continued driving.

  2. Well it’s not always the drivers! Today I was driving at 25mph by a highschool & 3 teens ran out& across the street Infront of me. I had to slam on my breaks & naturally hot the horn. They have me dirty looks& started shootingat me. Last I checked a car had the right of way on the road. they should be using the cross walk they don’t own the world but with teens attitudes I now understand how so many r being hit. I drove off shaking from the incident

  3. @Be flexible, that must have been horrifying.
Another area where it’s not usually the driver’s fault, which has been mentioned numerous times, is that pedestrians don’t wear reflectors at night. The pedestrians in dark clothing just don’t seem to realize that they are practically not visible at all at night. How many near misses have there been in the dark in Lakewood because the driver’s don’t see the pedestrians? PLEASE wear reflectors!
